Overview

TradingEdge Journal and TradingEdge Mobile are designed with your privacy as the top priority. All of your trading data remains on your device, and we do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers.

The apps and this website are treated differently, and this policy is explicit about both. The apps collect nothing. This website, like most ad-supported sites, uses analytics and serves advertising — the details are in Analytics, Cookies and Advertising on This Website below. Your trading data never touches the website, because the apps never send it anywhere.

This policy applies to both apps published by Bubbajuju LLC:

• TradingEdge Journal — available on the Mac App Store
• TradingEdge Mobile — available on the iOS App Store

Data Storage

All data you create in either app—including trades, journals, screenshots, playbook entries, and daily sessions—is stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers or any third-party services.

• TradingEdge Journal (Mac): Data is stored on your Mac using local app storage.
• TradingEdge Mobile (iOS): Data is stored on your iPhone or iPad using local app storage.

AI Features

TradingEdge Journal (Mac) offers optional AI-powered analysis using Ollama, which runs entirely on your local machine. When you use AI features:

• All processing happens on your device
• No data is sent to external servers
• You maintain complete control over your AI models and data

The AI features are completely optional and require you to install and configure Ollama separately. TradingEdge Mobile does not include AI features.

Network Usage

TradingEdge Journal (Mac) only uses network access to communicate with your locally-running Ollama instance, if you choose to enable AI features. TradingEdge Mobile does not use network access. Neither app transmits data to external servers.

In-App Purchases

Purchase transactions for unlocking the full version of either app are processed securely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs how your purchase data is handled.

Analytics and Tracking — In the Apps

The apps collect nothing. No analytics, no usage statistics, no crash reports, no personal information, no advertising identifiers. There is no account to create and no server to sign in to. Your trades, notes and screenshots never leave your device, so there is nothing for us to see even if we wanted to.

Analytics, Cookies and Advertising on This Website

This website is separate from the apps, and it does use third-party services. We would rather tell you plainly than bury it:

• Google Analytics 4 — measures which pages people read and how they arrived. It sets cookies and processes your IP address. We use it to decide what to write next, not to identify you.
• Google AdSense — serves the advertising on our blog articles. Google and its partners may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and in some cases to personalise them.
• Formspree — processes the contact form on this page. If you send us a message, the name, email address and message you type are transmitted to Formspree and forwarded to us by email. We use it to reply to you and nothing else. Do not put trading account credentials in the form.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent message covering advertising cookies before they are set, and you can decline. You can change your choice at any time through that message. Analytics is covered separately by the opt-out below, which works from anywhere.

Wherever you are, you can opt out independently of us: Google offers ad personalisation controls at myadcenter.google.com, and a browser add-on that blocks Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google's own handling of this data is described in its privacy and terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not combine anything from this website with anything from the apps — which would be impossible in any case, since the apps send us nothing.

• Mac users: we recommend using Time Machine or other backup solutions
• iOS users: iCloud Backup or iTunes/Finder backups will preserve your app data
• Your data security depends on your device's security settings
